FLYIN' THE 'VERSE WITH ANOTHER BIG DAMN HERO = WIN! \0/

So, here we are feeling pretty shiny - when the night before we're getting ready to whoot it up with all the folk coming down for our shindig, when we get a new message... and then we feel even more shiny inside while at the same time kinda quiet with awe. We surely didn't see this comin' - another Cap'n, another Big Damn Hero wants to join up with us to do good in the 'Verse!!! Talk about having your chickens come home to roost! This here Cap'n has read a good poem or two, and knows about good luck albatrosses - cause she's one of ours. The Mid-South bunch is proud and feelin' special as can be for our newest:

BIG DAMN HERO
SOPHIE MOSKOP

You can never have enough good luck, and you've just ensured we'll have some extra to spare so we can keep on doing the good works!

YOU ROCK MIGHTILY and we are in awe... so Thank you!!!

SPONSORSHIP PACKAGES STILL AVAILABLE

INDIVIDUAL SPONSORSHIP REWARDS (Packages):

Those of you going above and beyond deserve a reward fitting of your actions. There's a special drawing just for you with a prize package just chock full of shiny. Individual heroes can donate cash or prizes. (For prize donations, the Sponsorship level will be based on Approximate Retail Value. Any questions, please email us at midsouth.browncoats@gmail.com) These here are our various reward types:

BIG DAMN HERO - $100.00
The name says it all! You've thrown yourself out there on the line and protected your crew. Inside that dusty brown coat is a heart of gold and while you might have been on the side that lost, no one can convince you that it wasn't the right side. You're one of a kind and it's because of you the 'verse is a might bit shinier.

Reward includes:
TWO Tickets to the Big Damn Movie, TWO Entries into the Individual Sponsor Drawing, A Big Damn Hero Shotglass, ONE official CSTS Shirt, ONE Qmx Money Pack, TWO survival bags, recognition in the Event Program and in the Sponsor section of our Website, and a Certificate of Thanks which will look mighty shiny in your cabin.

COMPANION - $75.00
No one knows more than we do how hard it is to look that glamorous while shuffling around the dusty, uncivilized backend of the 'verse. Yet you manage to do it with charm and style WHILE lending some mighty fine credibility to those petty thieves and their shenanigans.

Reward includes:
TWO Tickets to the Big Damn Movie, TWO entries into the Individual Sponsor Drawing, Choice of EITHER an OFFICIAL CSTS shirt OR a QMX Money Pack, TWO survival bags, recognition in the Event Program and in the Sponsor section of our Website, and a Certificate of Thanks suitable for framing.

SHEPHERD - $50.00
You guide and watch over the crew, and occasionally when the need arises, you lend a hand to your wayward flock by taking aim at some very evil kneecaps. And you do all of this while trying to keep the good book in one piece AND holding back some pretty scary hair...

Reward includes:
ONE Ticket to the Big Damn Movie, ONE entry into the Individual Sponsor Drawing, Choice of EITHER an OFFICIAL CSTS shirt OR a QMX Money Pack, ONE survival bag, recognition in the Event Program and in the Sponsor section of our Website, and a Certificate of Thanks suitable for framing.

MERCENARY - $30.00
Sure you're in it for the swag, but deep down inside that dirt encrusted, money grubbing bod, there's a sensitive side (and we're not just talkin' that lump you got on your head from the last bar fight). You've been raised on Mudder's milk and inspired a folk legend or two, and this giving thing ain't half bad, so long as there's something in it for you...

Reward includes:
ONE Ticket to the Big Damn Movie, ONE entry into the Individual Sponsor's Drawing, ONE survival bag, recognition in the Event Program and in the Sponsor section of our Website, and a Certificate of Thanks suitable for framing.

NOTE: For those items with a choice in reward (i.e. T-Shirt or QMX Money Pack, please include which you are choosing and size if applicable)

OUR FIRST BIG DAMN HERO!

The Mid-South Browncoats would like to take a moment to celebrate our first BIG DAMN HERO!

CHARLOTTE BROWNCOATS
by way of Danny Seavers
AND OUR AWESOME MENTOR:
Tanya Morris

have come to help us hold the Valley in Memphis. While we've been selling tickets, this is our first Big Damn Hero and they are doing us some further kindness. Due to their CSTS event being on the same day, sadly they can only be with us in spirit.

But oh what a spirit!!!

They are donating their tickets to someone who is a true fan of Serenity and Joss Whedon, but who cannot afford to shell out.

Therefore, we are having a new contest in honor of THEM. Do you know of someone who is truly in need like those folks in Paradiso who were waitin' on the medicine from the train to help with Bowdens Malady? If you do, then here's what you do:

Send us a 500 word or less reason why the person you are thinkin' after should have a free pass to Serenity. Be sure they are in need and be sure to put their name and email address if applicable. Send it on up to our email address: midsouth.browncoats@gmail.com with the Subject line saying "BDH - Charlotte Browncoats Contest" And what we'll do is award the tickets as such:

One ticket will be rewarded to the best entry as voted on by the Mid-South Browncoats and one entry will be drawn at random from all the other entries received and rewarded to that individual as well. And what do you get for your efforts? We'll give you a shiny mention in our program and on our website for helpin' those less fortunate than you and you'll get an extra raffle ticket for the door prizes. Plus you'll have that powerful feeling of knowing that like Danny Seaver, you've done good in the 'Verse.

The contest is open from now until 11:59 p.m. on June 1st. We'll post the winners shortly thereafter and notify the winners by email.

A big planet-size thank you from the Mid-South folk to the Charlotte folk, you are BIG DAMN HEROS all!
