Since then, he has won the "Funniest Person in Memphis Media" contest, and took 3rd place in the Memphis Comedy Search. Armed with Erich's business degree and web programming skills and Kristin's determination and resources, the siblings established a parent company, Compressed Carbon Enterprises, LLC, and started the arduous process of getting the Fan Club off the ground.

Although the Fan Club is still in its infant stages, Kristin and Erich are proud of what they've accomplished so far, and have many exciting plans for the future. New Ticket Prices - A Better Deal for the Younglings

We've been sittin' back here in our bunks wracking our brains for something to do to make it easier on you folk who are aimin' to come on down and share in the mighty festive moment with us. And if I didn't just have a good gorram thought, then I don't now whatch'ud call it.

Times are tough in the "Verse what with soaring prices of fuel an grub to the shoes on your feet, so some might be a bit shy about sharin' some change from their bank to splurge on a show even though this show aims to be right neighborly and all. We know what times are like, 'Specially those who have wee ones to feed and clothe. So, we've thought about this and have a shiny new ticket idea.

Younglings, 12 and under, as of the date of the showing (June 21st) will only have to share up $5.00 for their seat instead of $10.00 (Younglings 2 and littler will be admitted free with a parent or the like to hold them tight when them there Reavers try and scare the wits out of all of us.

TICKETS:

Each commemorative ticket (designed just for this event)for the Big Damn Movie is $10.00 per adult ticket and $5.00 per youngling (2 and under are free if sitting on a loving lap) through June 6, 2008. After June 6th, the price will be $12.00 and $6.50 per ticket until June 20th. Tickets (if any remain) at the door will be $15.00 and $12.00 for Kids. Tickets will be handed out at check in.

have come to help us hold the Valley in Memphis. While we've been selling tickets, this is our first Big Damn Hero and they are doing us some further kindness. Due to their CSTS event being on the same day, sadly they can only be with us in spirit.

But oh what a spirit!!!

They are donating their tickets to someone who is a true fan of Serenity and Joss Whedon, but who cannot afford to shell out.

Therefore, we are having a new contest in honor of THEM. Do you know of someone who is truly in need like those folks in Paradiso who were waitin' on the medicine from the train to help with Bowdens Malady? If you do, then here's what you do:

Send us a 500 word or less reason why the person you are thinkin' after should have a free pass to Serenity. Be sure they are in need and be sure to put their name and email address if applicable. Send it on up to our email address: midsouth.browncoats@gmail.com with the Subject line saying "BDH - Charlotte Browncoats Contest" And what we'll do is award the tickets as such:

One ticket will be rewarded to the best entry as voted on by the Mid-South Browncoats and one entry will be drawn at random from all the other entries received and rewarded to that individual as well. And what do you get for your efforts? We'll give you a shiny mention in our program and on our website for helpin' those less fortunate than you and you'll get an extra raffle ticket for the door prizes. Plus you'll have that powerful feeling of knowing that like Danny Seaver, you've done good in the 'Verse.

CSTS - Memphis Charity Screening

For the first year ever, Memphis is proud to be on board as part of the CSTS Charity Screening event to benefit Equality Now. The event is being held at the beautiful Paradiso Theater and the shindig goes on from 8:00 a.m. until approximately 11:15 a.m. Full concessions will be available. A limited number of merchandise will be available for purchase at the event. (Cash only - there is an ATM conveniently located inside the Theater which accepts most debit and credit cards) There will be no shipping of tickets or merchandise as all will be available for pick up when the doors open at 8:00 a.m.

We've got a little of everything going on and the incomparable Andy will be our host. for the day. From watching the Big Damn Movie to Silent Auctions, A costume contest, and more will make this a day to remember! (Come on y'all know you've been dying to sit in a theater full of folks singing "The Hero of Canton..."

All merchandise and tickets will be handed out when you check in. Shipping is only an option if you've bought swag and for some reason cannot make it to the shindig. Please have your photo id and email confirmations with you.

All of the revenue generated by this shindig is going to Equality Now. Yes, you know Joss Whedon's favorite charity and a mighty fine organization of folks caring about other folks in the 'verse.
